I am using a Sony VAIO PCG-F350 notebook. It bundles with English Windows 98 SE. However, I have to use Chinese and English Windows as well. You also have to install sony shared library from recovery cd. Now everything is fine with my Korean win98. Hotkey, PPK and Power panel works great.

It's a hotkey Fn on the keyboard on my Vaio. Otherwise the HDD came out realtively easily on my box. (PCGFX807 IIRC) There is, but I don't have a suitable cable.... Sony Vaio Problem
One thought, though... does Sony support an upgrade to Windows 2000 on your laptop? If so, you may be able to use the Windows 2000 version of the Hotkey Utility. You'll probably also need to download Sony's Shared Library and Utilities DLL Library and install it before installing the Hotkey utility.

Hi I've just put Windows 2000 on my Sony Vaio F709 and all has gone well* except I no longer have some of the basic hardware utilites - function keys for controlling volume, contrast, I've got hold of the apps recovery CD for Windows 2000 and tried to put the hotkey utility back but it won't execute.
